Marcus Rashford has hailed the government's decision to change their minds over his proposal for free school meals for children over the summer holidays.
The Manchester United star's campaign had initially been been rejected on Monday, but the government dramatically changed their minds on Tuesday.
Rashford tweeted: "I don’t even know what to say. "Just look at what we can do when we come together, THIS is England in 2020." The England forward's campaign had picked up huge support on social media and was backed by several celebrities, which seemingly lead Boris Johnson to revisit the goverment's plans, even though ministers Grant Shapps and Therese Coffey had refused to budge on the proposals.
