Marcus Rashford has revealed that he spoke Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday after the Government's screeching U-turn on school meals during summer holidays.

The Manchester United striker had initially been met with resistance over his campaign to see struggling families provided with provide school food vouchers.

The Government had been warned for a number of weeks over the issue, but it took the determination of the 22 year-old England star to force the issue - and ultimately their hand.

British ministers originally said school food vouchers would not be available. But Johnson's spokesman declared on Tuesday that the government would be providing a COVID summer food fund costing around £120million pounds, which would benefit
