A woman is urging parents to tell their children "it's okay not to be okay" after her son died just days into the UK coronavirus lockdown.
Kian Southway, 15, is believed to have taken his own life after feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of staying home for an indefinite amount of time.
His mum Jolene says her son, who died on March 31, "loved life" but his mood deteriorated rapidly over the course of the lockdown's first week. "It was so unexpected, I think we are still in shock.
We're numb," she told Wales Online. "We need people to know Kian wasn't suffering from mental health issues, he wasn't depressed. "We need people to know how quickly this happens.
