Mum warns of Kawasaki-like illness linked to coronavirus after daughter becomes seriously unwell

A girl had to be raced to hospital after she became unwell with an illness linked to the coronavirus. Tayah Fernandes firstly complained of a stomach ache and had little to no appetite before her worried parents took their daughter to her local GP.

The doctor had initially treated the poor four-year-old for constipation, but her symptoms worsened throughout the night, reports Manchester Evening News.

Her mum Shannon rushed Tayah to A&E for further tests when she started screaming during the middle of the night.Blood tests and a chest X-ray were required as her eyes started to become bloodshot.

After being sent home to await the results of the tests, Tayah's parents received a call to get her straight back to hospital.
