Scores of pubs and shops were reported to the police yesterday for failing to close in spite of the government’s strict coronavirus lockdown.
Teams of cops and licensing officials will now be visiting any businesses thought to still be flouting the rules and ordering them to close.
Greater Manchester Police were also called to two dozen ‘large gatherings’ yesterday, again breaking the government’s social distancing policy.
There is also evidence of a small rise in domestic violence incidents in direct relation to coronavirus, as families and couples come under increased strain.
