Phil Murphy announced during his daily briefing over 1,500 new cases and 308 deaths attributed to the virus. The first term democrat also announced that more than two-thirds of New Jersey's confirmed cases -- roughly 90,000 people -- have defeated the coronavirus. "The spread is slowing," Murphy said. "The map of New Jersey continues to show slowing rates of doubling of cases." Murphy announced over the weekend 53 state hospitals will be receiving approximately $1.7 billion in federal aid.
