Each day the NHS gives an update on virus-related deaths recorded by hospital trusts in England in the previous 24 hour period.
These are cases where a patient has died within 28 days of a positive test, or where Covid-19 is mentioned on their death certificate.
Today a total of 15 new deaths were announced nationally. However, none of these occurred in Greater Manchester. It is the second day running where no new deaths have been recorded in the region.
