A nurse tasked with switching off coronavirus patients' ventilators before they die says she has been suffering nightmares due to the trauma.
Juanita Nittla, 42, has told how she struggles to sleep at night and sometimes feels like she is somewhat responsible for a patient's death after switching off a breathing machine.
Earlier this month, she had to start her shift by stopping treatment for a nurse who a nurse who had been battling Covid-19 and helping her family to say their final goodbye.
Ms Nittla, chief nurse in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Royal Free Hospital in north London, had the difficult task of calling the woman's daughter to tell her what was happening.
