Rush hour commuters in London were this morning packed on trains ‘like sardines’ sparking further calls for a ‘total lockdown’ in the UK amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Furious key-workers and some self-employed took to social media to share images of busy carriages, crowded platforms, and queues inside stations.
A number of commuters expressed their fears over contracting the virus and urged people to stay at home, while the government advice warns members of the public to stay 2 metres apart from one another.
In some snaps, people are seen so tightly packed that they are standing against each other or just steps apart, with all seats taken, the Mirror reports.
