Phil Mickelson has warned Tiger Woods he plans to “take him down” in his own backyard in their second big-money golf match this weekend.

Mickelson and Woods, who faced off in a highly-anticipated one-on-one match on pay-per-view in 2018, will bring NFL legends Tom Brady and Peyton Manning into the fold for their second clash.

Sunday’s ‘The Match: Champions for Charity’ will see the quartet raise at least $10million for coronavirus release efforts. Woods and Manning start as favourites as they face off at Woods’ home course, the Medalist Golf Club in Florida.

But Mickelson insists he is ready to cause an upset and lead him and Brady to a memorable victory. “I can’t wait to go to Tiger’s place and take him down,” Mickelson told Golfweek.
