He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan rushed off set to sort out a fake tan fail on today's Good Morning Britain. The GMB presenters have been forced to apply their own make-up this week amid the coronavirus lockdown as sorting their appearance has not been deemed an essential service.

Piers made a mess of his fake tan and viewers started to point out that he looked like his pal Donald Trump or one of Willy Wonka's Oompa Loompas.

He even apologised to any GMB viewers that were offended by his "orange head" before going back to the make-up room.
