Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Dan Walker stood by his TV rival Piers Morgan during a fiery Twitter argument with Lord Sugar on Sunday. Business mogul Sir Alan Sugar lashed out at Good Morning Britain's Piers on the social media site, after he blasted Brits for sunbathing in parks as the coronavirus crisis worsens.

However it seems BBC Breakfast presenter Dan agreed with GMB's controversial Piers, as he defended the star when the argument broke out through a string of tweets.

Piers went into an explosive rant on Twitter as people ignored the government's social-distancing rule to relax outside in the blazing sun at the weekend.

He labelled those sunbathing in public parks "traitors to the NHS" after a photo emerged of a group of people lying on the grass.
