Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain star Piers Morgan has hit out at online trolls after he was attacked with words for instructing people to stay at home as the sun sizzled over the weekend.

Not being one to hold back, Pier's took to his official Twitter account to vent his frustration after many Brits took no notice of the government guidelines to remain indoors while the pandemic continues to surge.

During his rant he called those who continued to disobey orders "selfish b*****ds" for sunbathing during the hottest day of the year.

His Tweet landed after many Brits were shammed for continuing to lap up the sunshine and were spotted enjoying beverages outside when these very actions have been prohibited by officials.
