PHILADELPHIA - A young man is dead and another is injured after a shooting Tuesday afternoon in West Philadelphia, according to police.Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 5200 block of Walnut Street just after 3 p.m.

for reports of a shooting. Police found a 20-year-old man shot once in the head, and rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he died.

A 19-year-old who police say was shot several times in the arm and hand was also taken to the hospital by police and placed in stable condition.No arrests were reported immediately following the deadly double shooting..

The woman grabbed the drone before it took off and dunked it in her pool to disable it.Investigators said the drone belonged to Christopher Jones, a convicted sex offender.

Future Now Summit brings Philadelphia youth together in effort to foster community

FAIRMOUNT - Girard College hosted an event Saturday for youth to be able to have a safe place to gather and consider their future."Summers here! Said Jeanette Bavwidinsi, with Youth Engagement for the City of Philadelphia.The Future Now Summit featured several free areas students could wander around and interact with, including an art gallery featuring portraits of people who have been murdered in Philadelphia, as well as other locations in the United States.Zarinah Lomax helped curate the collection as a reminder to people of the violence, but also to provide support to victims left behind."These people had a life, had a legacy. They had family," Lomax explained.
