With the current season set to be finished late into the summer, preparations for the 2020/21 Premier League campaign are set to be heavily disrupted.

With that in mind, each club has been instructed to expect a very short gap between to the two separate outings, with next years going ahead only slightly later than planned in the month of August.

The news is set to receive some backlash from players and medical staff with regards to the pressure it will put on them physically, with Euro 2020 also booked in for the summer of 2021.

Liverpool are likely to care little about the short break as they go in search of their first league title in 30 years, as are Leicester who are set to secure Champions League qualification.
