Premier League clubs plot friendlies to practice without fans and help get match fit

Premier League clubs will try to organise behind-closed-doors friendlies in order to regain match sharpness ahead of the season resumption, according to reports.

Top flight clubs have been out of action for almost two months amid the coronavirus pandemic with the last Premier League taking place on March 9 where Leicester beat Aston Villa.

The hope is for the current campaign to be played out to its conclusion with several teams still having much to play for. Even if games are allowed to be played behind-closed-doors teams will be lacking match sharpness even after a sustained period of prior training.

And according to the Daily Mail, Premier League clubs will attempt to arrange friendly games against other teams to help fitness.
