The league was ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic though Ligue 1 chiefs have decided to hand the title to PSG, who were 12 points clear of second placed Marseille when the season was called off.

Marseille officially finish second and will return to the Champions League for the first time since 2013/14. Relegation has also been confirmed with Amiens and Toulouse sent down to Ligue 2 while FC Lorient will be promoted as champions of the second tier.
