A pensioner who is missing his trip to his local, has transformed part of his garden into a Wetherspoons. Before coronavirus closed all of Britain's pubs, Dennis Williams popped into his favourite pub for a pint up to three times a week.
But once time was called, he and partner Jenny decided to spruce up their summer house to make it resemble their beloved Wetherspoon, Chronicle Live reports.
Not only has the makeover lifted some of their lockdown gloom, the pub has become the talk of their cul-de-sac in County Durham - and is the envy of their neighbours. "We are missing seeing our friends at the Wetherspoons in Bishop Auckland where we always go, so we said why not make this into a Wetherspoons," said Jenny. "We put up signs and
