A pub in Dublin sparked outrage over the weekend after a photo of a receipt went viral on social media. The picture showed how a small group ate at Mulligans of Sandymount, enjoying a burger, a taco and some cheesecake.
With some drinks, their total amount hit €49.85 but if they'd handed over a €50 note, they wouldn't have been handed any change - instead they had to search their pockets for more money to give.
That's because the owners of the pub had included a €2 'Covid-19 charge' on their bill, reports Dublin Live. The charge divided those who saw the receipt, with some outraged by the fee, but others saying they didn't really mind.
