Welfare payments should rise for claimants yet to switch to Universal Credit, a report says today. While rates of standard Universal Credit – the Government's flagship benefit overhaul – and basic working tax credits have been hiked by £20 a week for 12 months, those yet to move to the new system have not received an uplift.
