Ryanair customers have to wait a year for flight refunds amid coronavirus pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has sparked holiday chaos. Britain is in a state of lockdown, with the Foreign Office warning against travel that isn’t “essential”.

And as a result of this, many have had their trips cancelled. The majority of consumers are entitled to a refund under these circumstances.

But for Ryanair customers, it may take an entire year before they get their money back again. The budget airline has been issuing holidaymakers with vouchers – and has warned that refunds will be issued a year after flights were due to take off.
