Premier League club staff have been mocking Arsenal as the Emirates Stadium was left off the list of neutral grounds. English top-flight games are set to return with no fans from the beginning of June as coronavirus suspensions are eased.
These games will have to be played at neutral venues to prevent fans attending outside the grounds. But one venue that has not made the list is the Emirates Stadium, home to the Gunners.
And the Mail has reported that this has become a source of humour for other top-flight clubs. Authorities believe the 60,000-seater stadium would be likely to draw crowds outside the stadium area for behind-closed-doors games.
