Former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson has a brand new role – and it couldn’t be closer to his heart. Sharing the exciting news on Instagram, the king of the I’m A Celeb jungle revealed he is the new official ambassador of ADHD UK after he was diagnosed last year, at the age 30.
Sam, 31, who is dating Love Islander-turned documentary maker Zara McDermott (she has endearingly called her other half an “excitable puppy” previously), has been extremely open about his ADHD in the past – even calling it his “superpower” more than once.
Here, he opens up about why the condition he didn’t know he had made him feel like “there was something wrong with him” as a child, why he’s on a mission to encourage awareness, and exciting plans with his bestie, Pete Wicks… Sam, congratulations on your new ambassador role for ADHD UK, what does it mean to you?
I can’t even put into words how grateful I feel to be involved with such an incredible charity. ADHD, as many of you know, has really affected me, and since opening up about my diagnosis I’ve been greeted with such warmth and support from the public – it’s just meant the absolute world to me.
