In 2023, Amy was living her dream as a professional dancer on Strictly and had recently married her soulmate, Ben. However, during their honeymoon, she discovered a lump in her breast which subsequent tests confirmed as cancer.

Six days after her diagnosis, Amy courageously chose to document her journey, capturing the ups and downs of the challenging months that followed.

In the upcoming documentary titled, Amy Dowden: Fight of My Life, an emotional Amy discusses her future plans. At the beginning of the film, set to be released this Monday, Amy shared a voice note from Strictly judge Anton, who himself struggled to contain his emotions during the call.
