Emergency water repairs in Hamilton after two burst main incidents

Some Hamilton householders were left without water overnight after four mains pipes burst in the same area of the town, caused by a faulty valve on the supply network.Bottled water was brought in to support residents after faults developed around the Wellhall Road area and Fairhill areas on Friday evening.It proved to be the start of a busy period in the town for Scottish Water, as further emergency overnight repairs were then required to a 15-inch burst water main on Strathaven Road on Monday – with tanker supplies being needed to continue supplies to nearly 300 homes.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
