The fossil remains of a Basilosaurus' skull found in Ocucaje, Peru, are displayed by paleontologists at a museum in Lima, on March 17, 2022.

Paleontologists recently discovered the origins of fossils from a fearsome aquatic predator that would make the terrifying shark from "Jaws" look adorable.

The skull was dug up last year but scientists announced on Thursday the 36-million-year-old creature once lived in a prehistoric ocean that once covered what is now Peru, Reuters reported.

The recovered skull may look like it came from a fire-breathing dragon, but scientists believe the mammal to be a basilosaurus, part of the aquatic cetacean family.

COLOMBO (News 1st); SriLankan Airlines issued a clarification with respect to speculation circulating on social media with respect to SriLankan Aircraft uplifting printed material to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda last year. SriLankan Airlines on Thursday (14) said it received an air cargo order to transport about 102 tons of printed material from Colombo to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda in February 2021.The consignment was purely commercial in nature and brought in much-needed foreign revenue to the airline and country at the time. PHILADELPHIA - The early preview of summer will end overnight as temperatures migrate back to more seasonable levels ahead of Easter weekend.A round of quick-moving showers that spawned brief Severe Thunderstorm Warnings on Thursday afternoon will drag cooler air into the Delaware Valley to stunt temperatures that previously reached into the 80s. Most of the region is in the clear, but areas towards the New Jersey coast should brace for severe weather expected before 7 p.m.Forecasters expect dry and partly cloudy conditions overnight, but temperatures will be noticeably colder in the low-to-mid 40s. Conditions will rally on Friday with a nice mix of sun and clouds to help kick off Easter weekend. Forecasters expect temperatures to approach 70 degrees in most parts of the region. Similar conditions will follow on Saturday with the chance of some nighttime showers that will help plunge temperatures for Easter Sunday.

West Chester University HARRISBURG, Pa. - Students at Pennsylvania's state-owned universities won't see tuition increase next year under a unanimous vote Thursday by the system's board.The State System of Higher Education's Board of Governors passed what will be the fourth year of flat tuition, as the struggling system hopes the Legislature will approve hundreds of millions in additional funding in the 2022-23 state budget."The state’s decision about our budget this year is existential for the state system," Chancellor Daniel Greenstein said this week, ahead of the expected vote.
