PHILADELPHIA - A triple shooting in East Germantown left one man dead and two women injured, according to police.The alleged homicide occurred on the 6300 block of 21st street around 10:15 a.m.Police say three people were shot; a 35-year-old man died from multiple shots to the chest, a 62-year-old is in critical condition from a shot to the hip and a 57-year-old woman is stable after a shot to the arm.All three were transported to Albert Einstein Hospital by police.AdvertisementNo arrest has been made at this time.

COVID-19 on Saturday, according to data released by the province.The same data shows 144 people in an Ontario intensive care unit (ICU) either with or due to the virus.The numbers represent an overnight drop of 83 in Ontario’s COVID-19 hospitalization data. NEW CASTLE, Del. - Police are looking for information after they say a tobacco store was robbed at gunpoint Friday.The alleged robbery occurred at the DOT Discount Tobacco Store on the 1400 block of North Dupont Highway in New Castle just at 12:41 p.m.Police say a man armed with a handgun and carrying a trash bag demanded money from an employee.When the employee said they didn't have any money, the suspect reportedly demanded Newport cigarettes instead.

The husband of one of the teachers killed in Tuesday’s mass shooting at a Texas elementary school has died of a heart attack, family members say.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia elementary school said a child fired what they believe was a pellet gun into a crowd of students during afternoon recess.In a letter to families, Thomas Elementary school said the child is not a student at school. The students who were hit by the pellets were not seriously injured and received treatment from the school nurse, according to officials. Video of the incident that circulated on social media shows a child riding a hoverboard on the opposite side of a chain link from the students. The child is seen carrying what the school believes is a pellet gun.At one point in the video, the child points the pellet gun at the distraught group of students.

KENSINGTON - Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in the city’s Kensington neighborhood, that critically injured one man.Officials say police responded to the 3400 block of Kip Street Thursday afternoon, about 2:15, on the report of gunfire.Officers arrived to find a 32-year-old man shot four times.
