South Lanarkshire Council to resume bin collections after temporary suspension, but today's waste will not be lifted

South Lanarkshire Council have announced they will be able to resume bin collections after a temporary suspension.However the Council will be unable to collect any waste that had been scheduled for uplift today (Thursday).They had previously stopped the collections while they changed working arrangements due to the government's recommendations regarding social distancing.

A Council spokesperson told the Reformer : "The council’s kerbside refuse collections will resume tomorrow, Friday March 27, after today’s temporary suspension. "The temporary suspension was necessary so we could work with our staff to put in place safe working arrangements for our refuse collection crews that comply with current social distancing guidelines."Bins due for
