Forbes (5/28, Alexiou) reports that according to a survey conducted by Level Access, “alongside G3ict (The Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs) and IAAP (International Association of Accessibility Professionals), 56% of organizations still don’t routinely test their digital products with disabled people to evaluate accessibility and usability.” This is “in spite of the fact that 94% of respondents deemed product testing by people with disabilities to be an important aspect of building a sustainable accessibility strategy.” A “notable insight” in the report “was that, though budget restrictions were a frequently cited barrier to including disabled people in user testing, the relative size of an organization or its accessibility team was not.
