The fast casual food chain agreed to issue $240,000 in back pay to 24 employees who worked at the Augusta location "as part of a settlement for illegally closing the restaurant in the middle of a union organizing drive" in July, according to the Maine AFL-CIO. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) confirmed to FOX Business that the money will be issued to the employees who were on the payroll when the store was shuttered. Maine AFL-CIO, a state federation of over 160 unions across Maine, announced on Facebook that this marks a "win for food service workers across the country." The swimmer, identified as a 62-year-old man from Utah, was swimming on Sunday approximately 200 yards offshore when a shark bit his left hand, according to a statement from the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources.While trying to fight off the shark, the man felt another bite behind his left knee, the statement added.The swimmer proceeded to call out for help and was able to swim to a nearby vessel, whose crew took him to shore, officials said. PHILADELPHIA - A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after becoming the victim of another weekend shooting in North Philadelphia.Police say the teen was found suffering from multiple gunshots wounds on the 1400 block of 23rd Street around 7:40 p.m. Saturday. PHILADELPHIA - A young man is fighting for his life after police say he was stabbed twice near Temple University's besieged North Philadelphia campus. Investigators say the 25-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and back on the 1200 block of Diamond Street around 8 p.m. Responding officers from the Philadelphia Police Department rushed the victim to Temple University Hospital where he was placed in critical condition.
