(Credit: Summit County Sheriff's Office) Two Utah snowmobilers are lucky to be alive after becoming stranded Wednesday in an overnight storm in Utah.According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, search and rescue teams responded to the Bear River Station area of Mirror Lake Highway in Summit County regarding two adult males who were stranded on their snowmobiles. The agency’s public information officer Felicia Sotelo told FOX Television Stations that the men rode into a bowl-like depression on their snowmobiles and were unable to get out. "[They] essentially were stranded," Sotelo shared, noting that their tracked vehicles were low on fuel."They didn’t plan on being out all day," she continued. "They built a snow cave, they built a fire." The individuals utilized a SPOT location device, making it possible for the men to communicate with emergency officials, which assisted the rescue team in locating them. RELATED: Jeremy Renner reveals snowplow accident left him with '30 plus broken bones'"Obviously no one wants to spend the night unexpectedly in the snow," Sotelo said, adding, "But they did have at least some backcountry experience and knowledge to keep themselves sheltered during the storm overnight." Despite heavy snow overnight and very steep terrain, emergency officials were able to find the men in "good condition" after several hours. Jeremy Renner just revealed the full extent of his injuries from his snowplow accident, saying he shattered more than 30 bones in his body.

Despite people coming and going from the property where police say the teen lived with his mother, no one commented on the slew of charged brought against Pfeffer.Investigators detailed the deadly shooting that unfolded just after 7 p.m.

CALN TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Chester County District Attorney's Office is investigating a shooting involving police in Caln Township. According to authorities, the incident began on Wednesday morning just before 2 a.m. when police received information about a stolen vehicle being found in the parking lot of a Wawa in Downingtown.  (Caln Township Police Department)Officials say the suspect, identified as 56-year-old Richard Luminello, of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, who stole the vehicle, stole another car from the Wawa parking lot and fled from officers attempting to stop him from entering a nearby neighborhood. Police say a Caln Township officer was at the intersection of Westerham and Shelburne Road to put up stop strips when Luminello crashed into the officer's marked police car head on at a high rate of speed. SKYFOX flew over Caln Township, where a suspect was shot by police after crashing a stolen car into a police cruiser.  The stolen car hit the police cruiser so hard that it sent the cruiser backwards about 40 years, according to the District Attorney's Office. Authorities say the officer, who was behind the cruiser, had to dive out of the way to avoid being hit by the impact. As the stolen vehicle eventually came to a stop after the crash, Luminello got out of the car and began walking away from responding officers, per police. Officers shouted commands to Luminello as they approached him, officials say.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, N.J. - What began as an innocent act of kindness became one woman's fight for her life across the country in New Jersey's Burlington County.New Jersey State police say 57-year-old James Parillo met the victim in New Mexico last February when she agreed to drive him to Arizona.The suspect and victim then entered into a month-long relationship, which ended when he assaulted her in California."During their time together, the suspect allegedly took away the woman’s phone, confiscated and utilized her debit cards, and isolated her from her family," police said.The pair ended up renting a room at a house in New Gretna, New Jersey, where police say the woman was kidnapped, beaten and choked by the suspect.On February 7, the woman made her escape, running bare foot in 40-degree weather to a nearby gas station.MORE HEADLINES:A gas station attendant was sitting outside on break when she heard people screaming, and running around the corner."He was screaming you don't wanna do this, and then she got up to me, and she said I've been kidnapped, call 911," Jammie Garthaus said.The woman then ran inside and locked the deadbolt, an escape plan she told police she devised during a prior visit."She was saying that he choked her. She had like a red mark around her throat," Garthaus said.

PHILADELPHIA - Flashes of gunfire can be seen erupting in the dark on a North Philadelphia street, and police are looking for the suspect who pulled the trigger.Police say three young male suspects were disrupting traffic when they crossed the 4600 block of C Street over the weekend.One driver honked, prompting the suspects to yell obscenities, and one of them to fire his weapon, according to police.MORE HEADLINES:Three shots struck the driver's side of the car, hitting the driver in the left thigh.Video from the scene shows shots being fired as the vehicle drives off and the suspects flee.Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

PHILADELPHIA - Shocking video captured the moment a store clerk was shot in the face after an argument escalated inside a Philadelphia grocery store over the weekend.Police say a woman pulled a gun on a security guard after she and a male suspect got into an argument with a store manager at the Save A Lot on Chew Avenue.The security guard quickly disarmed the woman, and escorted both suspects out of the store.MORE HEADLINES:However, both suspects were caught on camera rushing back to confront the manager, shooting him point-blank in the face, then fleeing.The store manage was left in critical condition.Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles lawyer is being sued by her former employer after she allegedly spent over $10 million of company money to fund a six-month gambling and partying binge at the Wynn Las Vegas.The lawsuit filed on Feb. 11 in California federal court by British Virgin Islands firm LDR International Limited accuses Sara Jacqueline King of Orange County of falsifying millions of dollars worth of loans from the company.According to court documents, the company extended nearly a hundred different loans to King’s self-named lending service - King Family Lending - between January 2022 and October 2022.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say an off-duty FBI Special Agent shot an "aggressive dog" on a Philadelphia street Monday night. The incident happened on the 1500 block of Spruce Street in Center City in front of the Touraine apartment building around 8 p.m. The FBI's Philadelphia Office said in a tweet that initial information they received stated that an FBI Special Agent shot and wounded an aggressive dog and no one else was hurt. "The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously," the tweet read. "We are working jointly with the Philadelphia Police Department and the FIB’s Inspection Division to investigate the incident." A handout from the group "Revolution Philadelphia" called for a "Emergency Protest" at 10 a.m.

PHILADELPHIA - The deadly shooting of a Temple University police officer has once again called into question the safety of the school's besieged North Philadelphia campus. Officer Chris Fitzgerald was shot to death during a struggle with a suspect on 18th Street and Montgomery Avenue Saturday night. Authorities later captured 18-year-old Miles Pfeffer at his home in Buckingham Township, over 20 miles away from where the deadly shooting occurred. Pfeffer charged with Murder, Homicide of Law Enforcement Officer, Evading Arrest, and related charges, according to police officials.

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's National Election Commission has informed the Supreme Court that it is likely that it would not be able to conduct the Local Government Election on the 9th of March 2023 as planned. The National Election Commission made this notification via a motion on Monday (20).The NEC on the 18th of January, and 10th of February gave an undertaking that it has taken steps according to the law to conduct the 2023 Local Government Election, and that it will continue to take steps according to the law to conduct the said election.However, the NEC had noted that after the said undertaking, circumstances have arisen which would prevent the Elections Commission from acting according to the circumstances entirely beyond the control of the Elections Commission.The motion filed by the NEC noted that the Treasury Secretary had informed he is unable to provide the necessary funds to conduct the said election.Furthermore, the Government Printer has informed the Elections Commission that she is unable to release the ballot papers for the elections until a sum of Rs.

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Nine youths - including a 5-year-old child - were wounded after shots rang out at a gas station in a Georgia city bordering Alabama, authorities said Saturday.Officers from the Columbus Police Department responded about 10 p.m. Friday and found multiple gunshot victims amid a large group of people.Police Chief Freddie Blackmon said at a news conference Saturday that an altercation apparently took place at a party nearby, and it spilled over to the gas station when the shooting began.

KENSINGTON - Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect they say abducted a young woman, at gunpoint, and fled with her in a golf cart.Officials say the incident happened Saturday morning, just after 6:30, on the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue, in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood.According to authorities, the victim was walking east on Cumberland Street toward Aramingo Avenue, while the suspect appeared to be following her, in a maroon and black Polaris Northstar XP 1000 two-seat golf cart.He pulled into a bank parking lot on the 2500 block of Aramingo and fired a weapon one time, the bullet hitting the asphalt of the lot.At that point, officials say, a witness told police the man crossed over Aramingo into the Wawa and Applebee’s parking lot, got out of the golf cart, pulled out a gun, pointed the gun at the woman, grabbed her and shoved her into the golf cart.Then he drove off in the golf cart, with the woman, heading west on Cumberland.The victim is a woman in her late 20s or early 30s, wearing a light-colored jacket, a dark shirt, black jeans with a white design on the left leg. She was carrying a black bag.The man is about 6’0", and was wearing ripped blue jeans, a brown plaid smock shirt and a green beanie-style hat.Anyone with any information regarding the man, the victim or the incident is urged to contact Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251 or 3266 or 3264 or dial 911.
