Taylor Swift has taken another political stand to encourage the fight against racial injustice, while championing police reform. The Shake It Off singer, who previously kept her political views private, took to Twitter on Tuesday to call out the systemic racism in the US following the tragic death of black man George Floyd, who died after a police officer pressed his knee into his neck as he struggled for breath. ‘Racial injustice has been ingrained deeply into local and state governments, and changes MUST be made there,’ Taylor tweeted. ‘In order for policies to change, we need to elect people who will fight against police brutality and racism of any kind‘We need to fight for mail-in voting for the 2020 election.
