Mumbai: Amid concerns of increasing Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, a tea vendor near Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray's residence 'Matoshree', in Mumbai, has tested positive for novel coronavirus.
Confirming the development, a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official said that the area around the CM's residence has been sealed and disinfectants have been sprayed.
As of 6 April, there were 868 Covid-19 positive cases in Maharashtra, 120 of which were new. Of these, 526 were from Mumbai and 141 from Pune.
There have been 52 deaths in the state so far, seven of these were reported today. Seventy people have recovered so far. Majority of the dead did not have any international travel history but suffered from pre-existing health
