Having suffered so badly over the last year, infection rates are falling steadily across the vast majority of the region. And dozens of neighbourhoods are now classed as having 'suppressed' the virus.

The latest interactive heat spot map shows 58 areas recorded fewer than three cases in the week to March 30. Across the region the infection rate is now 77.7 cases per 100,000 people, according to the latest data from Public Health England.
