The High Court has been told that the Minister for Health has asked for a Covid-19 test taken this morning from a 30-year old-woman currently in hotel quarantine to be processed as quickly as possible.
Emma Kelly arrived from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on 3 April to support her mother as her father undergoes a serious operation for cancer.
She has been in quarantine at the Crowne Plaza Hotel near Dublin Airport since then and three appeals against her requirement to quarantine have been refused.
She is fully vaccinated and tested negative for Covid-19 before her departure from Dubai and after her arrival here. If her test today is also negative, she will be able to leave the hotel.
