On any ordinary sunny Saturday in Manchester, on the cusp of Spring, people would be out enjoying everything the city has to offer - but today is anything but ordinary.
With the growing toll of infections and deaths from coronavirus people are being encouraged to stay home. Pubs, restaurants, bars and cafés have been told to close.
As a result, the normally bustling thoroughfares of the city are mostly empty. Maybe not quite a ghost town, but nothing like the busy metropolis we know so well.
There are still some people out and about - but as these pictures show Mancunians are largely listening to government advice and staying at home.
