A GP who used a fake Covid jab to poison his mother's partner in an attempt to kill him was among the notorious criminals sent to jail in the UK in November.

Dr Thomas Kwan will be spending more than 31 years behind bars for the murder plot. He is one of dozens of offenders locked up for their crimes over the last month.

Other offenders jailed last month include a man who murdered and dismembered his 74-year-old landlady and hid her remains in a storage unit.

Meanwhile, a former teacher and choirmaster was locked up for child sex offences that spanned more than 40 years.
