'Three to four confirmed or probable cases of Omicron' have been found in Manchester. The council's director of public health told a health scrutiny committee, held this morning (December 8), that the borough has discovered cases of the variant.
Contact tracing is underway around those with either confirmed or probable bouts of the new strain - all are believed to have links with travel to African countries.
