After revealing the heartbreaking news that she’d been diagnosed with cancer, Kate Middleton has been flooded with messages of support from people across the globe.
In a video released on Friday, 22 March, the 42 year old revealed how the diagnosis had come as a “huge shock” to her and her family, but that she was “getting stronger every day”.
The devastating announcement came after Kensington Palace announced that Kate had been admitted to The London Clinic on Tuesday, 16 January for “planned abdominal surgery” and that she had been advised to take 10 to 14 weeks to recover.
At the time, it was thought that the condition was non-cancerous. In the statement, it was revealed that the royal would be “unlikely” to return to public duties until after Easter, while Prince William also temporarily stepped back from his public duties in order to help look after his wife and their three children. “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate.
