Troy Sneed, a Grammy-nominated gospel singer has died aged 52 following a battle with coronavirus. Sneed's career kicked off during his time at university where he studied education and music.

During his time at university, he became the choir director - before going on to become a teacher at Jacksonville Beach Elementary School.

He later went on to release his debut album Call Jesus in 1999 and has since released six studio albums. Troy's final release, All is Well, was released in August 2012 by the label he had founded with his wife Emily - Emtro Gospel label, which was a combination of both their names.

He bagged a nomination for a prestigious Grammy award for his work with Youth For Christ - a group of teenagers from the Georgia Mass
