A TV star has been rushed to hospital with a broken neck and spinal injuries after he suffered a nightmare bike accident. Australian Channel Nine TV star and Triple M presenter Ben Dobbin was training for the Noosa Triathlon when the incident took place, reported the Courier Mail.

It has been reported that he 'might never walk again' after the horror smash. The 48-year-old spoke to the publication from his hospital bed in Brisbane's Wesley Hospital and said the accident happened while he was training for a triathlon.

He said that he was cycling with coach Cam Hughes when he swerved to avoid a black snake that was in the road, reports the Mirror. The star had a CT scan and an MRI that revealed he had a fractured C5 vertebrae which required surgery on Thursday night.Medics warned him after the delicate operation that he 'might never walk again' and because the surgery was through his throat, there was a chance that he might lose his voice as well.
