The UK's coronavirus hospital death toll has increased by 368 in another sign the number of second wave fatalities could be levelling off.
England reported 315 new fatalities, Wales had 24, Scotland recorded 22 and Northern Ireland had seven to bring the UK's hospital total to 49,839.
By comparison, the number of deaths announced on recent Saturdays were 370 on November 28, 391 on November 21, 370 on November 14, 366 on November 7 and 256 on October 31.
The lowest number of deaths on a Saturday was five on August 15, while the highest was 917 on April 11 when the UK was going through the first peak of the pandemic.
