Brits will reportedly have to live with coronavirus restrictions for another 18 months until a vaccine is developed. Government sources have said its discovery is the only true “exit strategy” and the country will have to adjust to a “new normal”.
A raft of scientists have already said that one is not likely to be available for another 18 months. Advice to work from home and stay indoors for seven days if you have symptoms will probably be in place next year, the Daily Mail reports.
Other plans to encourage social distancing on a long-term basis have also been discussed, it is claimed. An official last night told The Daily Telegraph that such measures could be “indefinite”.
