Coronavirus lockdown could remain partly in place for a total of three months, the Culture Secretary has warned. Oliver Dowden said Boris Johnson was worried about lifting the restrictions too early over fears of a second peak.
Britain has been in full lockdown for four weeks so far - since March 23 - and is due to have another two weeks of shutdown at least.
Mr Dowden said the PM had stressed back in March he expected the country to be able to "turn the tide" in 12 weeks.
