Hairdressers 'must stay shut for another six months', ministers say

Yesterday, industry experts predicted that UK hairdressers may be one of the first services to re-open. Having shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak, many Brits are missing their salons – and having to deal with roots and split ends.

Unfortunately, ministers have now claimed that hairdressers may have to remain closed for another six months. So we’re set to become a scruffy-looking nation.

Government scientists who are working on the lockdown claim they haven’t been able to find a safe way for salons to reopen. They say that it’s believed to be impossible for hairdressers to carry out haircuts without increasing the spread of the killer virus.
