As the nation continues to live under the confines of coronavirus lockdown finally there’s some good news – summer is on the horizon.
Long-range forecasts show temperatures are set to rise at the end of the month and stay higher than average. It means people stuck at home during the pandemic will be able to enjoy sunshine in their gardens and balconies.
While those without either option can soak up the good weather during their daily exercise outdoors. As the Mirror revealed yesterday, temperatures will be warmer than Greece and Portugal this weekend.
The forecast led to a surge in sales of barbecue food at supermarkets. Met Office chiefs say the heatwave will be brief – but people should expect the sun to return later this month.
