Tunnock’s factory bosses have vowed to continue paying 90 percent of staff wages at least until Easter after halting production.The biscuit giants have been praised for supporting staff so well after shutting down operations in Uddingston due to the coronavirus pandemic.While other big-name firms continue making cakes, Tunnock’s quickly admitted they would struggle to meet the government’s guidelines of workers staying two metres apart, and took no chances with their staff.A Tunnock’s factory spokesman said: “As you will realise, this all happened very, very quickly and the situation we are all in was unimaginable just this time last month.“A factory closure of this type, due to a virus threat, has never happened before and it is difficult
