A Co Louth man, who got married in the UK, had to broadcast his own wedding because his family could not make it due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
David Rossiter from Drogheda got married to Fran Banbridge in Bristol yesterday afternoon, a month before the couple was due to exchange vows.
David and Fran who knew their Irish relatives could not attend because of the outbreak were concerned further restrictions might be imposed in the UK.
The UK government may introduce a lockdown for those aged over-70s and if that were to happen, it would mean Fran's mother would not have been able to attend the wedding next month.
