Carfin-based Chikara Karate Club coaches say they "still want to create champions" despite the coronavirus shut down. Sensei Lawrence Clifford and son Jason filmed themselves in their dojo, which has only opened on Cleland Road, Motherwell in January, during the first day of lockdown for the Lanarkshire dojo.

The father-son duo revealed their plans for online classes to support the club during the closure.During the clip Lawrence admits that six months of hard work to had gone into making their unit a community hub "there for everyone" and is "dream stuff for him, everything I have ever wanted."He adds: "I hope we have British and European champions coming out of here, but it starts now; this is where champions are made."Lawrence and Jason
