The suspect remains in custody.Several police patrols responded to the scene and a large police cordon was put in place with some of the local roads on the estate closed.Main routes around the estate were not affected, although a police cordon remained in place both on Rudman Drive and another by Regent Road and Gloucester Street for several hours.
In statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called at around 11.55am this morning (Wednesday 24 June 2020) to reports of a teenage boy being stabbed in the leg on Rudman Drive in Salford. "The boy has been taken to hospital with a serious but non-life-changing leg wound.
